Pretty soulless place, lots of "gifty" stuff and overpriced tat. Can't comment on the quality of the plants. Cafe is pleasant but overpriced across the board. I know they have to mark up prices, but 1 for a single Tunnocks caramel wafer? Toilets tatty. Bit depressing really. Only use it as a meeting place.
Good garden centre. Excellent cafe. Pensioners special Monday to Thursday in the cafe. Had a lovely Christmas luncheon here. Excellent !!!!
Very poor meal this afternoon. Served incomplete, warm, not as ordered, not as stated on the menu, hot drink very overpriced 3.00 for a warm hot chocolate, even hair on one of the plates Complaint was made there and then. Won't be eating there again. Had booked the festive tea but have received a refund and will look elsewhere...
Similar experience to others regarding customer service - moronic staff; queued 20mins for a couple of coffees on a Saturday morning. Life is too short, never going back.
Garden centre (Cheddar) was lovely, excellent plants but expensive, unfortunately the staff seemed very miserable and acted like the walking dead with no customer service training and no clue how engage with people (cafe staff) we ordered sandwiches, cake and coffee at an extortionate price which would have been ok but the food was ordinary and the bread was rock hard on one of them, had to go and check where the coffee was as it didn't arrive, yet again communication with staff was ridiculously odd, understandable IF we were in foreign lands!!All in all the visit could have been so much better if the staff actually cared about anything.
