I have had the same issue as the former reviewer with this shower. During five years, the top valve has had to be replaced due to it being too stiff. The valve is now stiff again and the shower is pulsing. The integrated diverter on the temperature valve does not work and there is danger of the grandchildren scalding themselves.Having rung Valdo aftersales, I have been told that this might just need 'servicing'. The plumber has said there is no point to this and the whole caboodle needs replacing. This is disgraceful - I would expect a shower to last more than five years.DO NOT BUY A VADO!Following the response from Ian, I explained that I was not given a guarantee by the original fitters which are now not operating. I also gave some indication of when I rang - he said he could not trace my call to Customer Sales. I have heard nothing since. Very poor.Following my review, I had to pay a plumber to purchase and fit another two valves at a cost of over 200. He has to return today as the shower head is dripping to the point that we have to put a bucket beneath it overnight. And the shower is still pulsing when we turn the control to have a cooler shower.TOTALLY FED UP WITH VADO.

Our Vado LIF-100M/CC-C developed a leak dripping rusty water into the vanity unit beneath. I contacted Vado and they sent out a replacement cartridge for the tap. I had to telephone Steve at Vado because we were having difficulty getting the old catridge out. He told us how to do this and actually tried the same exercise himself realising in doing so he damaged the ring. He immediately sent out a replacement to us knowing we would have the same problem! When we eventually got the catridge out it was split from top to bottom.Unfortunately the tap was still dripping. I contacted Vado again they thought the leak was probably coming from the tails. It took 3 attempts to get the correct tails for our tap but it appears to have sorted the problem out. Cant fault this company for after sales service they really have gone the extra mile to deliver good customer service. Its reassuring to know theyre there should a problem develop. Thank you!

I've purchased Vado shower valves for my bathrooms several years ago and I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! Neither of them work properly! The Thermostatic Cartridge gets stuck and does not allow for the temperature of the water to be adjusted. I have had several plumbers and engineers trying unsuccessfully fix the issue over the past 5 years. After every visit from a plumber, the valves work for 1-2 months, and then I invariably face the same issue again. Unfortunately, to replace this useless valves will involve re-tiling my bathrooms, so I just have to keep calling them to send someone to come and fix the issue several times a year. Hopefully this review saves you a lot of stress in the future.
