Great pub, friendly staff. Mix of comfy seats and dining tables. Good food and great choice of gins
Lovely place to stay while visiting cheddar gorge as so close. Lovely friendly owners and staff nice bar and top quality restaurant. Rooms are lovely too although the rooms above the bar area can be a bit noisy from the patrons at weekends. Not a problem if you are down there with them though!
Visited for work Christmas lunch. We had a reserved table in the skittle alley which was quiet and festive. The food was lovely and quick to arrive. Bar staff were polite and friendly.
Nowhere near as good as our Christmas meal last year. Very frustrating to be told in advance that something (that was fine last year) was fine to find out at the meal that it wasn't. I was left with an expensive starter that was really not that great. And effort made with dairy free pudding, but it was hard and really not very nice. Incredibly frustrating as I've been recommending it all year!
Great food, it really lives up to its 2 rosettes, not A lot for kids but great place to relax and enjoy a pint or two. Had one of the best starters of my life pressed pork belly scotch egg and apple sauce and a lovely steak. Will be going again when in cheddar
