Great place to go walking does feel like it's 30 mins from Bristol
Amazing day of walking, stunning views and I used my new hiking poles. They were of real use in tackling the rugged parts and alleviate body tension. Beautiful place. Will come back again. The mountain hill goats were a surprise, unperturbed by humans..
Brilliant, we walked up the gorge and up over the top back into Cheddar. Loved it
A great walk. Well worth doing. Spectacular views and brilliant for exercise. Be aware though that there are steep climbs and descents with lots of rock jutting here, there and everywhere so wear suitable footwear and don't attempt during or after rain.
A lovely walk, well signposted. Wear good footwear, we saw people trying to walk it in flip flops. Not a good option. Jacobs ladder is tough should you choose to walk anticlockwise from the visitor centre in cheddar. The option we took was to walk clockwise joining the walk near black rock. That way you walk down the 274 steps which make up Jacobs ladder. Lovely views, interesting info boards on route. Some steep bits, but generally a lovely 3 mile circular walk.
