I and my family have been regular visitor's to the resort for the last 5 years and have always been delighted with the accommodation apart from this year, Although we booked the luxury lodge with hot tub, We found it to be 'shabby' with door locks missing on two of the toilet doors, two shower doors off the rails, a fix on the dishwasher had to be made before being able to use and many other issues such as kitchen unit laminate peeling off and hot tub problems, all in all a very different experience than previous....Although, reported to reception another lodge was never offered and as a result I would advise anyone booking to ensure they are in one of the 'better' lodges.

It's OK. Good things - Hot tubs in the lodge, the swimming pool is pleasant and clean. The staff are friendly and the activities are well priced and well run.Bad things - out first lodge had lots of mould in the bedrooms, something we were worried about before we arrived (thanks to TripAdvisor) and had contacted the resort about in advance. After we arrived we had to return back to reception to complain, after which they moved us to a cleaner lodge. It was a real shame that we had to waste time and effort unloading kids and luggage in and out of one lodge into another, even though we had called ahead to try and avoid this issue, not to mention the mental fatigue of having to complain and feel like your being a pain. There is a pretty long snagging list in the lodge we ended up in. Two TVs not working. Peeling laminate from the kitchen cupboards. The dishwasher doesn't clean properly. The shower doesn't get very hot. We tried to have a dinner at the restaurant but they had very few staff and it was taking much too long. Maybe they were just short staffed for that day, but judging by the number of staff they have milling around they are more interested in selling their lodges than looking after customers on holiday. As a tip, if you are booking here, avoid lodge 46, and ask for a newer lodge at time of booking. Once you've booked, it's very difficult to get them to change your lodge until the day.

Great week in one of the cabins.Very clean and well looked after cabin and park. Lovely child friendly restaurant and bar area. Only a few minutes drive to cheddar with plenty to see and do. Would highly recommend.

Love this place, we come here every year for our Easter break. Loads to do, loads to see in the surrounding areas with the kids, Perfect relaxing place.. really recommend it. Just perfect

Our third year of holiday lodge-type holidays and with a 3 and 4 year old in tow, this was the most relaxing and lovely of holiday parks weve stayed at to date.Very clean, quiet and well kept. Extremely well appointed caravan (No. 175) with loads of private outdoor space for the kids to safely play and run around. We even had our own picnic table.Very comfy, large bed meant we slept well. A first for our caravan holidays! The hot tub was superb if not a bit too hot (see below) but was a very welcome source of relaxation with a beverage or two in the evening.Swimming pool is a good size with a kiddies pool at one end.The sauna and steam room for the grown ups is an absolute bonus.Nice modern clubhouse with a small soft play area and a mini bowling alley.Outdoors theres a great little playground for smaller ones. The not so good (hence 4 stars)*Our caravan backed right onto a main road which was quiet but heavily used by aggregate-carrying lorries at rush hour - from about 6am.*Food was average at best and waiting staff not particularly helpful (although they were friendly)*Hot tub was too hot ( hotter than a bath) and we didnt know the temperature gauge was locked
